Peter Grant's summer spending spree looks set to continue with the capture of Banik Ostrava forward David Strihavka.

The 24-year-old has agreed terms on a four-year deal, subject to the clubs finalising terms on the transfer, which reports in the Czech Republic suggest will be in the region of 1 million euros.

"I am totally exhausted, I arrived in London on Tuesday morning, then moved to Norwich and then I was undergoing a never-ending medical," the striker told Banik's official website.

"I arrived at the hotel at 2am and until 3am we were negotiating over the possible contract. Then when I arrived at the stadium, the whole decision making took a new direction.

"A beautiful stadium for 26,000 people, great facilities, nice people. They fulfilled what I had asked for. I talked with the coach, who had been before assistant coach at West Ham, they told me that they had bought two players and the goalkeeper from Celtic and that they wanted to fight for the promotion places. I could not refuse that.

"It is a weight off my heart that all the things around me have ended and that I can focus fully on football."
