The Canaries have terminated the contract of David Strihavka after a disappointing period at Carrow Road.

Strihavka started just three games and made a further eight substitute appearances, scoring one goal, following his summer capture from Banik Ostrava.

City paid an initial £240,000 for the first year of the former Czech league top scorer's four year contract and, by terminating the deal now, have saved themselves a potential further outlay of £1.1million.

Strihavka, another of Peter Grant's signings to leave, wished the 'wonderful' Norwich fans all the best and expressed his diappointment that his move had failed to work out. He now intends to re-start his career back in his native Czech Republic.
