Swap deal on the cards?

Norwich winger David Bell, a summer purchase from Luton Town, could be on his way to Coventry in a swap deal for centre back Elliott Ward.

Glenn Roeder has seen Dejan Stefanovic and John Kennedy struck down with knee injuries and, with Kennedy returning to Celtic in January, is left with only Gary Doherty and Elliot Omozusi in the middle of defence.

Ward, a specialist penalty taker whose brother Darren was once a Canaries target, is valued at around £1million and , with cash at Carrow Road short and a surplus of wide players, Roeder could sacrifice highly-rated Bell after just a handful of appearances.
