The loan arranger strikes again

Reports this morning have Glenn Roeder solving his target man dilemma with the season-long loan of Botlon Wanderers striker Heidar Helguson.

The Mail Online reports that, having secured Polish international Ebi Smolarek for the season from Racing Santander, Helguson is now surplus to requirements at the Reebok and has been allowed to move by Bolton boss, and former Norwich chief, Gary Megson.

Helgsuon, 31, formerly of Fulham and Watford, is just short of six feet tall but has the required aerial ability and pysical presence to provide the ideal foil for Arturo Lupoli or Jamie Cureton in the Norwich attack.

The deal has yet to be confirmed but, with the transfer window slamming shut at midnight, things are likely to move quickly.
