Two more in for Gunny

Norwich confirmed the signings of winger Simon Whaley and defender Rhoys Wiggins this morning, swelling the ranks further with more to come.

Whaley, 24, joined from Preston on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee. He will fill the right side of midfield berth vacated by Lee Croft, who has joined Derby.

Wiggins, 21, has also signed a two-year deal and is set to provide competition for Adam Drury at left back.

Bryan Gunn has now signed Michael Nelson, Matthew Gill, Owain Tudur Jones, Michael Theoklitos, Stephen Hughes, Paul McVeigh, Wiggins and Whaley.

Shrewsbury striker Grant Holt is being strongly linked with a move, while an offer is on the table for Goran Maric following an impressive trial. If the two forwards sign, it would take Gunn's numbers into double figures with a number of trialists still around the club including Danish defender Jens Berthel Askou.
