Two more through the doors

Norwich this afternoon confirmed the signings of two more permanent deals, bringing to four the number of new faces in the first week of January.

Millwall's former Liverpool defender Zak Whitbread and Stockport's former non-league striker Oli Johnson may have begun their careers at opposite ends of the spectrum, but both signed two-and-a-half tear deals at Carrow Road with undisclosed fees agreed with their clubs.

The transfer activity, which follows the confirmation of deals for Russell Martin and Anthony McNamee earlier this week, goes some way to dispelling rumours about the future of manager Paul Lambert, who remains the favourite for the vacant position of manager of Burnley.
