Waiting game for McKenzie

There was mixed news out of Colney this morning as the latest two City players to limp out of a match reported for duty.

Dean Ashton, who was replaced by Leon McKenzie inside the last half hour, appeared to be struggling with an injury, but was distinctly unimpressed with his substitution. His manager, Nigel Worthington, said this morning that the player had not been hurt and was now fine.

McKenzie, however, is much more of a concern. He failed to last the distance and had to be replaced by Peter Thorne. Worthington confirmed that the injury was to the same ankle that had kept the former Peterborough man out for three months, but was unable to speculate on the seriousness of the new problem.
