Norwich looked set to take all three points after Adam Drury's first goal for the club gave them the lead but Stoke fought back to equalise through Kris Commons' and it was the Canaries who were holding on at the end.

Worthington said: "I'm very happy with a point. Of course we would have liked all three, but I felt a draw was a fair result.

"This is a place where teams have to battle and scrap, and we did that.

"We are winning our home games and drawing away, so that will do for me.

"We were lethargic in the first half, but the players responded to my request for them to step it up.

"We played some really good football without creating a great deal, and I've ended the day well pleased."
