Worthington Pleased With Commitment

The Canaries restricted Steve McClarens side to very few chances in the first forty-five minutes but succumbed to two second half goals at The Riverside, a result that sent them back into the bottom three of the Premier League table.

"I was very pleased, particularly with the way we played in the first half," Worthington said after the 2-0 defeat.

"We defended very well as a team until we committed two moments of madness. We left Job unmarked to score the first at the far post and then tried to play an offside trap which didn't work for the second.

"Both Leon McKenzie and Danny Crow could have got late goals for us, but that's our trouble, we are making three of four chances and not always scoring while other teams like Middlesbrough have proven goal scorers."
