Worthy In Double Swoop

Worthington is still waiting to hear back from Pompey boss Harry Redknapp about Primus, and is clearly still focused on transfer deals despite bening in Malaysia for the pre season tour.

Worthington has promised more transfer activity aswell as admitting he is a great fan of Linvoy Primus.

"Primus is a player I greatly admire and, as I said before we flew out here, we have got an offer in for him," he stated. "It's something we will be following up at the start of the week.

Worthington also believed that Portsmouth's own involvement in the transfer market may benefit the Canaries.

"There are going to be phone calls made, there's going to be action. Portsmouth have brought David Unsworth in during the course of the weekend so that could affect the situation.

"Whether Harry Redknapp will let Linvoy go I don't know, but he's certainly a player I think would be very helpful to our squad.

"If I could do a deal then Linvoy would come straight over here to Malaysia with us to join up with the squad."

The Norwich boss also teased Norwich fans suggesting there could be another signing before the week is up. Although his lips remained tight on who the player was (probably so Megson doesn't get their first).

"At this moment in time there may be a possibility of another player being here before the weekend. I don't want to say any more than that - it's something I want to keep under wraps at the moment."

Exciting stuff isn't it? I have a feeling it maybe another striker being brought in as I don't believe he will sign two defenders in a week. Maybe Marlon Harewood or Robert Earnshaw? How about...........Shefki Kuqi.......maybe not.
