"Dean Marney is a player I admire greatly," said Worthington.
"I have spoken to Martin Jol at Spurs about the situation.
"The boy is currently part of their group out in Korea and Spurs will assess his situation when they come back.
"Then, and only then, will we find out if we can bring the player in on loan."
