The Norwich boss said: "It was a very professional performance. We knew it would be hard and that we would have to show patience.
"The way we passed the ball and our composure was excellent."
Albion manager Martin Hinshelwood said: "Bobby (Zamora) has hurt his right knee and will have a scan on Monday.
"It is obviously a blow when you lose your top scorer. I could not fault the effort and commitment of our players, but we were lacking in certain areas."
