Marc Libbra got his first start of the season in place of the injured Zema Abbey, but apart from that our line-up was unchanged from our draw away at Rotherham. Mark Rivers made his home debut, replacing Steen Nedergaard near the end, and striker Alex Notman got a rare run-out, replacing Libbra near time, presumably because the frenchman's fitness is not quite up-to-scratch yet.
Iwan Roberts opened the scoring on 20 mins with a shot from the edge of the area which the Watford keeper made a complete hash of, and then 5 minutes later we were 2-0 up when Nedergaard headed home from a beautiful cross from McVeigh (his 3rd assist this season!).
Unfortunately, Mulryne then went off through injury to be replaced by Darel Russell.
Watford pulled a goal back before half-time through Ramon Vega on 42 minutes but Norwich sealed the points when Mackay made it 3-1 on 68 minutes.
