Pompey than had a good spell of pressure, Green saving twice - first from Bradbury's header, and then diving down to tip Harper's cross around his left-hand post. A minute later Darel Russell was on hand to help out defensively, heading Pompey's top-scorer Peter Crouch's effort off the line.Russell had another great chance in the 70th minute, he neatly collected McVeigh's pass, flicked it up three times and hit it on the half-turn, but his volley just went over the bar.
