This Week...

Carrow Road was a strange place to be on Saturday, with the atmosphere noticeably free of tension and anxiety. After the disappointment of Man. City, the fans were looking forward to a feast of good football, and were not disappointed. A 3-1 reverse was probably a fair result but does not indicate the passion that the players showed, a Leon McKenzie goal against the meanest defence in the league was just rewards for their magnificent efforts.

Over at Northampton and Danny Crow popped in his second goal in as many games to underline his potential, while at Bury Canary favourite Iwan Roberts scored his 200th league goal for his new side Cambridge United, who unfortunately went down 2-1.

The club announced details of a benefit match for former player Alex Notman. The youngster, whose career was cut cruelly short by injury following his move from Manchester United, always looked classy for City with his finest moment surely the cross that led to Iwan's goal at Cardiff. The match is a fitting tribute to the Scot, and former stars such as Eadie, Roberts, and Goss are pencilled in to appear.

The reserves also did something the first team would love to do, winning against Watford and keeping a clean sheet in the process. Mattias Jonson scored the City goal in a match that also saw the return to competitive action of Ryan Jarvis and Thomas Helveg after injury.

Today the Premier League announced the last matches of the season will be played on a Sunday, meaning the potentially make-or-break match at Fulham will be on the 15th May.

Keep the faith!
