Chelsea gain midweek victory

Keith Webb's reserve side continued to struggle in front of goal as they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea.

With City, who have been hit by injuries to a number of first team players including Dean Ashton and Leon McKenzie in recent weeks, having played last night in a 2-1 win over Hull at Carrow Road, and Chelsea's international superstars in simultaneous Champions League action at Anfield, the clash at Aldershot could not have been more overshadowed.

The result leaves the Canaries stiffs with only one win all term, a 3-0 defeat of Fulham, which was also the only occasion the side, as bereft of fit forwards as the first team, have failed to find the target in any other matches despite gaining a couple of creditable draws at Coventry and Tottenham.
