As another second string encounter fell between important matches for the first XI, an inexperienced side again failed to find the target at home to Leicester.

Goalkeeper Joe Lewis was the star performer for the Canaries, making a number of important stops just 24 hours after Robert Green shipped four in a nightmare first half at Kenilworth Road.

With Nigel Worthington's injury crisis showing no sign of abating, Keith Webb's resources have been severely restricted so far this term, but he can expect to be able to field a number of City's more high profile players in the coming weeks as the likes of Leon McKenzie, Peter Thorne and Youssef Safri hopefully make their way back from various injuries.
