Roeder in hot water

Referee Andy D'Urso included Glenn Roeder's angry approach at the end of Norwich's defeat to Bristol City in his match report, which could land the Canaries boss in trouble with the FA.

Roeder was incensed by D'Urso's incorrect decision to award Bristol City a free kick in the dying moments - directly leading to the winning goal. He went on to the pitch after the final whistle to protest. The Norwich boss' actions are now 'under consideration' by the FA.

"I have never ever, in all my life, remonstrated with a referee straight after a game by walking on to the pitch," the former West Ham and Newcastle manager said in mitigation.

"I am not pleased with myself, I am not pleased with myself at all, but that was how strong I felt about D'Urso's performance, particularly the incident that led to their winning goal."
